108 SUN SALUTATIONS by muditayogastudio

In the Yogic tradition, 108 is a sacred number. Practicing 108 Sun Salutations is a meditative practice that connects the body, the mind, and the universe specifically when nature is undergoing a change. And coupled with this change in nature, yogis can start once again, fresh, renewed and inspired.

'As we turn up the heat – our burning desire to serve others; to make an impactful difference; to act in defiance of human, animal and environmental exploitation; to take a stand against injustice – pierces through our concerns for our small self. It is an effortful act of surrender towards a higher purpose.'

On this unique day, let's tap into the restorative energies of the Summer Solstice through yoga, sound, and meditation to rejuvenate and renew our energy. By merging the power of the summer solstice with our deliberate practice, we aim to foster a comprehensive approach to personal wellness and energy improvement.

For thousands of years, people have used meditation as a way to find peace, clarity, present moment awareness and expanded consciousness. In the modern world of demands, stress and deadlines; the benefits of meditating are even needed, and many people are turning to the practice as a means to find calm and respite for the mind in the midst of the business of day-to-day life. Issues prevalent in today’s society such as high blood pressure, stress, anger, anxiety, depression and addiction can be managed and worked through with a regular meditation practice.

Yoga is a way to freedom. By its constant practice, we can free ourselves from fear, anguish and loneliness.
